All electric & emission free paper deliveries
The truck will replace a traditional diesel vehicle and will deliver genuine reductions in the environmental impact of paper deliveries; saving over 4,250 litres of fuel and around 12 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year. The new truck is to be used for central London copier paper deliveries offering customers the opportunity of having both silent and zero CO2 emission deliveries.
The truck has been painted in a unique and iconic livery that carries a clear environmental message promoting 'ZERO CO2' deliveries. Hopefully to be the first of many our second electric truck will shortly be delivered to our Belfast branch, making our deliveries truely 'green'!
Peter Hockley, GM2's Logistics Manager commented 'The arrival of these electric trucks is another exciting step forward for GM2 and its customers in terms of what we can do to reduce our environmental impact and as the company converted to 100% renewable electricity in 2006, recharging of the trucks will also be carbon neutral'
